PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER City of Sterling is accepting applications for Public Safety Dispatcher. Position provides emergency and non-emergency dispatch services by monitoring and answering multiple phone lines; processes, prioritizes and utilizes the radio system to ensure proper deployment of police, fire and emergency units. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously, deal with interruptions, respond to difficult situations under time constraints and maintains composure during emergencies. Data entry multitasking skills will be tested. Must be able to work a variety of shifts including days, nights weekends and holidays. Trainee starting wage rate $12.88/hour.
